It does look clean and kind of premium, and the design is my style. I like the overall feel of it. But I keep running into the same little complaints over and over, mostly that it looks nicer than it actually feels in some spots, and a few details just keep bugging me. It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, but those small issues are hard to ignore.

Overall, I like the bag and it’s definitely usable. The stitching is mostly okay, but I did notice a few seams that look a little uneven on mine. Not a huge deal, but for the price, I was expecting the finish to be a bit cleaner...

I wasn’t totally sure about the size when I ordered it, but to be fair, it ended up being pretty much exactly what I needed. It fits my laptop, charger, hoodie, water bottle, and a few random work items without looking or feeling overpacked.
The space is better than I expected for a bag that still looks fairly slim. I wouldn’t call it huge, so if you need something for a lot of gear, this might not be it. But for daily use and short trips, it’s been really solid so far

I’ve been using my Black Ember bag almost every day for about 3 years, and it’s still in great shape. Since the zippers are solid and the fabric is tough, it hasn’t really worn down much at all. It’s been through rain, trips, and daily office use, but it still looks good and works like it should. I’m impressed it’s lasted this long.

The laptop compartment feels nicely padded, and my laptop seems safe in there. I haven’t tested it with anything too rough, but for everyday use it gives me some peace of mind...

I bought this mostly for commuting. Daily use, train, walking a bit. The material is actually good in light rain. Got caught in a quick shower and everything inside was fine. Dry, no issues. But heavier rain is a different story. Water started sneaking in around the zippers a little. Not soaked, but enough to notice. So now I just use a rain cover if the forecast looks bad. Overall, decent bag. Just thought the rain protection would be a little better for the price.

I’ve been carrying this every day because it’s really light and not bulky at all. I do like how easy it is to bring around, but when I had a small concern, I felt kind of dismissed. Still, the product itself has been convenient for daily use

I do really like the bag overall, the modular setup is super handy and it’s nice being able to switch things around depending on what I’m carrying that day. It feels well thought out, and I keep finding little ways to use it differently. My only gripe is that once you start looking at the accessories, the price climbs quickly. I kind of wish a few more of those pieces were included from the start, because it starts to feel like you need to keep buying add-ons to get the full experience.

I picked up a Black Ember bag a few weeks ago, i’m impressed so far. I’m a little biased because I tend to like bags that feel overbuilt and slightly tactical, but this one really does feel thoughtfully made. The stitching is clean, the zippers feel sturdy, and the material seems like it could handle daily use without much fuss.
The only thing I noticed right away is that it’s a bit stiff out of the box. It doesn’t have that soft, broken-in comfort immediately, so depending on what you’re used to, it might feel a little rigid at first. I’m guessing it’ll loosen up with more use, though.

Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s definitely not the cheapest option out there, but it feels like you’re paying for quality rather than just the brand name. If you like structured, durable bags like I do, it’s probably going to be a good fit.

I ordered the bag from outside the US, and while it did arrive in good condition and looks really nice, the delivery took a little longer than I was expecting. My main issue was the import duties, which added a decent extra cost at the end. I’m usually careful about hidden fees before buying, so that was a bit frustrating. I don’t think it’s necessarily Black Ember’s fault, but I would’ve appreciated a clearer heads-up before checkout so I could factor it into the total cost.

The box looked nice when I first got it, but one corner was squashed when it arrived. The bag inside was fine, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but for the price I expected it to feel a bit more premium. I also wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to do next if I wanted to report it or ask about a replacement box, there weren’t any clear instructions. I think stronger outer packaging or more padding would help.

I picked up a Black Ember bag and the build quality feels really solid, like the materials and stitching all seem well done and I don’t have any complaints there, it definitely feels like a bag that can take some regular use.
The thing that bugs me is the pocket setup because some of them look like they should be really handy but once the bag is packed they’re just awkward to get into and I find myself stopping and digging around way more than I thought I would, especially when I’m trying to grab little things like my keys, earbuds, or a cable.
It’s not a bad bag by any means and I still like a lot about it, but for everyday use it just isn’t as quick or easy as I wanted it to be, so I’d probably give it 3 stars.
